Favorite DFW Wedding Venues of 2021
This past year I got the opportunity to photograph at some AMAZING DFW wedding venues! It is such a great feeling getting to check venues off of my shooting bucket list! While there are so many different wedding venues across the metroplex, I wanted to write about my favorite ones I got to visit in 2021, and share what each venue has to offer. So, if you are a recently engaged couple looking for a beautiful place to get married- this post is for you!
Brighton Abbey
Nestled in a little community in Aubrey, TX, Brighton Abbey has so many wonderful features that are sure to be perfect for your wedding vision. This DFW wedding venue has an indoor chapel with so many large and beautiful windows. Which lets in so much natural light! Brighton Abbey also offers a variety of areas for photos. Whether they be on the gorgeous staircase in front of the venue, or under the gazebo adjacent to the outdoor ceremony space. Modern meets European at this one-of-a-kind DFW wedding venue!
Firefly Gardens
Not your typical barn wedding venue! Firefly Gardens has the white barn look on the outside, with elegant enchantment on the inside. The reception area hosts floor to ceiling windows, that let in the most beautiful evening light. Enjoy a stroll over by their beautiful pond, and daydream about saying “I do” under their unique outdoor ceremony space. This DFW wedding venue also offers an additional “house” where your guests can enjoy cocktail hour before heading to the main barn.
The Hillside Estate
When it comes to wedding venues I try not to be biased, but this venue is by far one of my favorites in DFW! Placed in the perfect location right off the lake not too far outside the city. The moment you walk through the doors you are greeted by a beautiful grand staircase! The bride and groom suites both have lockers for easy storage and no crowded messes. Your guests can enjoy a drink outside on their beautiful courtyard in front of the fireplace. The outdoor ceremony space offers lake views, and The Hillside also has an indoor chapel with large windows and plenty of seating. Enjoy the in-house catering, and countless elegance this venue brings to the table. Another plus about this venue- it has a large groom’s suite with a pool table! You and your buddies won’t be cramped up in this space! There is no doubt this venue can offer all of your wedding desires, and will make you feel so welcomed the second you walk inside.
The French Farmhouse
This DFW wedding venue sure is one-of-a-kind! A stunning vintage, french-inspired wedding venue with multiple unique features. Your guests can enjoy lawn games outside next to their incredible outdoor ceremony space beneath the most breathtaking tree. There is also a gorgeous sun porch with a fireplace where your guests can sit and enjoy the weather, or have some fun at the photo booth. The bridal suite is sure to make all your dreams come true with incredible amounts of space and intricate details. Take photos in front of one of the vintage cars they have to offer, or cuddle up with your new spouse on the porch swing. The pops of light blue on the shutters add such a beautiful touch, and is sure to be the perfect background for any photo. The French Farmhouse is also building a chapel that will be opening Summer 2022!

Oak + Ivy
Another terrific option if you are looking for a white barn! Oak + Ivy is such a large space that can hold over 325 people! The bride and groom suites are also large and spacious with a game room in the groom’s suite. Located in Denton County, Oak + Ivy has so many amenities that are sure to check off every box on your wedding venue wish-list.
The Bowden
One of the main reasons I love this venue so much is because it is only 15 minutes from my house, and right next door to our church! It is located in the city of Keller, so if you’re local you and your guests won’t have to worry about driving an hour out to the country. With a large reception area and beautifully lit chapel, this venue should definitely be at the top of your list! The Bowden also offers in-house catering that will surely not disappoint! Aside from the gorgeous amenities and pristine location, The Bowden hosts the most amazing and kind staff, who are sure to make you feel at home. I absolutely love this place!
The Nest at Ruth Farms
I had been dying to visit this venue for so long, and I finally got a chance to go! The Nest at Ruth Farms is incredibly beautiful and spacious. Everything is white, which means the lighting is unbelievable inside and out! As a photographer, it made my job so much easier! Say “I do” next to the beautiful pond right behind the outdoor ceremony space, or inside their chapel that will be coming soon in October 2022! The Nest is the BEST! (See what I did there?)
