I am so excited to share with you Peyton and Brendon’s gorgeous wedding at D’vine Grace Vineyard! From Peyton’s incredible veil, to the debonair groom’s attire, this wedding was so stunning with an incredible team behind all the magic!
Aside from all the beauty that is to be captured on a wedding day though, one of my favorite parts is photographing the story. As all of Peyton and Brendon’s friends and family gathered in the banquet hall for their reception, Peyton’s father, James, told the funniest story of how he met the man who would one day marry his daughter.
He said, “Peyton worked at Woolley’s Frozen Custard in high school, and one night I went in for some ice cream, and there was this boy chatting it up with her at the counter. Didn’t think much of it, until I went in again the following week, and there was the same boy in there talking with her!” Brendon clearly had a big thing for frozen custard. 😉 Their future father-in-law and son-in-law relationship only grew from there. Fast forward years later to the night of Peyton and Brendon’s rehearsal dinner, where Brendon decided to show up wearing the exact same outfit as James!
When it comes to Brendon, there is no surprise what a great sense of humor and fun personality he has, and definitely no doubt how much he loves Peyton. The story of two high school sweethearts whose families joined into one is a beautiful story I was so honored to capture. If you haven’t read about their story, be sure to check out their engagement session blog post.
From the warm, romantic tones and colors of the florals, to the tuscan European style of the venue, to the mix of navy and dusty pink colors fit perfectly for February, Peyton and Brendon’s wedding was absolutely beautiful in every way- minus the wind chill. It was a very windy and overcast day in McKinney, Texas that February 6th, and by the time we were through with pictures everyones fingers and noses were bright red. But, despite the frigid temperatures we had the best time creating such beautiful images. I don’t think I have ever had as much fun with a bridal party group as I had with this one! They are some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken!
Hearing the stories from their closest friends about their childhood memories, seeing James’ face light up the moment he saw his beautiful daughter in her wedding dress for the first time, giggling so hard my stomach hurt from Marty’s jokes (the officiant-Love Notes Weddings), watching Brendon sing Tracy Lawrence to his new bride during their first dance as husband and wife, everyone laughing and having the time of their lives as they lifted the newlyweds up in the air at the reception.. it’s so hard to pick a favorite moment from this day.
Peyton and Brendon, I knew from the moment I met you both for coffee the first time that you two were special. There is no doubt that you were made for each other, and you balance out one another perfectly. Photographing your love story is one of the most treasuring moments of my career. I enjoy working with you and your friends and families so much, and I can’t wait to see what big plans God has in store for you. I adore you both so much, and I am so happy I got to be a part of your special day! Thank you!
XOXO
