Wildflower Maternity Session | Prairie Creek Park | DFW Portrait Photographer

When my sweet friend and longtime client, Kelsey, reached out to me about photographing a wildflower maternity session for her I knew exactly where to go! Kelsey explained to me that the nursery theme for their soon-to-be-born baby girl was the “secret garden”, and she wanted photos taken among a field of wildflowers. It was springtime in Texas, which was absolute perfect timing! So I packed up my camera bag and headed to the most gorgeous wildflowers in the DFW metroplex.

We headed to Prairie Creek Park in Richardson, TX to photograph Kelsey and Josh’s wildflower maternity session. This park is highly known for planting these amazing wildflowers every spring, and people from all over the metroplex come to see them. Seeing these wildflowers is truly like a scene from a movie! They take your breath away! The mixture of blues, purples, pinks and reds set the perfect scene for any springtime photo session.

Kelsey and Josh have been longtime clients of mine and we have become good friends over the years! I remember it didn’t seem too long ago when I photographed their maternity photos when Kelsey was pregnant with baby Jack. It’s such a sweet blessing to get to do this for them again with their baby girl! It’s also so fun to see how excited Jack is to become a big brother!

Aside from the stunning scenery around us, my other favorite details from this wildflower maternity session was Kelsey’s maternity dress! this sheer, pink gown with all the tulle that flowed in the wind made Kelsey look like a pregnant goddess! the pale pink also went so perfectly with the color mixture of the wildflowers. I just can’t get over how perfect she looked!

Walking amongst these stunning wildflowers was such a treat, and it makes me so happy to know my clients received exactly what they were looking for! Hearing people’s visions and having the ability to bring them to life makes me so happy as a photographer. Mission: secret garden wildflower maternity session- complete!

Kelsey, thank you so much for allowing me to preserve all of your family’s wonderful memories and biggest milestones throughout the years! I can’t wait to see you guys again as a family of four!
