It has definitely not been the spring season I had originally envisioned. Being cooped up in the house with Rowen and Auden for the past few months and not being able to take them anywhere has been a real drag, and not being able to go out and photograph beautiful weddings and sweet, adorable families has been hard. Even though the current circumstances have not been ideal, I truly am grateful for the time to slow down and focus on my business and my family. We have created so many beautiful memories as a family during our time in quarantine, and it is definitely a season I won’t forget. Between family adventures driving around the lake with the windows down, to Auden learning how to walk, to pizza picnics on the living room floor, there are so many great things to treasure and look back on. But in the midst of the quarantine era there has also been so much hurt in the world, and one of those things is postponed weddings.
Landon and Taylor were supposed to wed originally on May 2nd, 2020, but due to the restrictions regarding the ever-so-infamous coronavirus they unfortunately had to postpone. My heart sank for them and for so many other couples who had to make such a difficult decision and put one of the happiest days of their lives on hold. Thankfully for Landon and Taylor, restrictions were lifted quickly and they were able to wed the following weekend on May 9th at their church with immediate family members present and with proper social distancing.
Even though their day did not go as originally planned, and some very important people could not be there with them (poor Taylor’s MOH was stuck in Germany), Landon and Taylor’s wedding was still so beautiful and special. The shoes Taylor wore belonged to her grandmother, and Taylor’s dress was her Aunt’s when she married in 1977. Amazingly both items fit Taylor like a glove! No alterations whatsoever, and she looked just like a regal princess! On that beautiful spring day in Texas, with blooming flowers and a soft breeze whistling through the trees, Taylor Bell became Mrs. Taylor Rung! (I still can’t get over how adorable that is! Best wedding hashtag award goes to: #BellBeRung) Congratulations to the newlyweds! I’m so glad I was able to be there to document your wedding day, and I pray for no more global pandemics during your marriage.
