The snow was plush and the air was crisp. It was a cold, winter day in New Mexico while Peyton and Brendon were on a ski trip with their family. Brendon took his high school sweetheart to an old mine, where he got down on one knee and asked her to become his wife. It was there in the beautiful white, ice cold snow that there lives were forever changed.
Brendon and Peyton first met each other in Mr. Roger’s class in high school six years prior. From homecoming, to prom, graduation and college, Brendon and Peyton have been by each other’s side through it all. There is something so special about finding your true love and best friend at such a young age, and knowing you will you spend the majority of your life with that person is something that can’t be beat. Absolutely heartwarming.
I have enjoyed so much seeing all of the joy from their friends and family in the news of their engagement. Knowing that they have a village of wonderful people and a valuable support system in their corner rooting for them and cheering them on is so wonderful to witness. I could tell from the moment I met Brendon and Peyton for the first time over coffee that they were such kind-hearted, genuine people with great personalities and were so fun to be around.
I met Peyton and Brendon and their adorable pup Dirk (go Mavs!) at Tandy Hills Natural Area for their engagement session. The light was so beautiful and the view of the Fort Worth skyline was remarkable. Peyton and Brendon informed me they don’t believe they photograph very well, but I have to HIGHLY disagree! I kept gawking from behind the camera saying how much they looked like models, and it definitely shows! Their outfits were perfect and I loved that they dressed up for the occasion. We ended their engagement session with a toast of champagne, and it was perfect. (Even though we may or may not have lost the cork. Oops.) The flutes they brought too were actually a wedding gift for Peyton’s parents, which I love they decided to include in their engagement session. Cheers to the future Mr. and Mrs. Low!
Peyton and Brendon, you two are such a joy to work with, and I am so honored and excited to be a part of your special day. I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding with all of your friends and family at the beautiful D’Vine Grace Vineyards in February! We are going to have such a blast!
XOXO

[…] When it comes to Brendon, there is no surprise what a great sense of humor and fun personality he has, and definitely no doubt how much he loves Peyton. The story of two high school sweethearts whose families joined into one is a beautiful story I was so honored to capture. If you haven’t read about their story, be sure to check out their engagement session blog post. […]
