Today is April 4th, 2020, which means we are stuck in quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic. This time at home has given me a chance to make some changes to my business and brainstorm new ideas, and I am excited to bring these new ideas and strategies to life when quarantine is over. All of this extra time at home has also given me the opportunity to catch up on some blogging, because let’s face it, I’m just not the best at it; at least for now!

My second child, Auden, turned one on February 12th, 2020, right before everything in the world turned upside down. We celebrated his birthday by taking a family trip to the zoo, followed by a nice dinner and birthday cake. Oddly enough, Auden didn’t care for the cake he ate at home, but when he had his pictures done in January 2020 he went nuts for it! (As seen below.)

To my Auden, our little love and valentine baby: we are so blessed to have you a part of our family, and you have brought us so much joy and delight this past year. Times in the world are currently difficult, but I love that when I look back on this moment in history I will remember how I spent all day everyday with you and your older brother playing games, tickling your big paunchy belly, watching you cover your entire body with finger paints, giving you a haircut all by myself (which actually turned out really cute!) watching you take your first steps, teaching you new words like “More” and “No” (I might regret that one, soon) and watching you gaze up at the trees blowing in the breeze. You are so curious and full of life, and I love seeing the world through your eyes. Your feisty personality keeps me on my toes, but your wet, sloppy, open-mouthed kisses totally make up for it. We all love you so much! Happy first birthday to you, even though this post is almost two months late. Better late than never, right?
